Historic Launch of the 2025 Swing Series Lights Up Kenya’s Amateur Golf Scene

Kenya’s golfing landscape reached an exciting new milestone with the spectacular launch of the 2025 Swing Series, a premier three-leg championship that has redefined the amateur golf experience across the globe. Drawing widespread attention from golf enthusiasts, clubs, and sports media, the series marked a bold step forward in the development of  golf. The series attracted players from Mauritius , Austria, Uganda , Rwanda, Ethiopia , South Africa and the host Kenya.

Each leg of the Swing Series delivered a unique blend of fierce competition, high-caliber sportsmanship, and vibrant community engagement. Every tournament offered a platform for Kenya’s most promising amateurs to shine—and shine they did.

More than just a collection of tournaments, the Swing Series is a visionary initiative—a structured pathway designed to elevate Kenya’s amateur golfers onto the international stage. With official ranking points, elite-level organization, and opportunities for global exposure, the series is fast becoming a cornerstone in the journey of young and upcoming talent.

 

  • Leg 1 – Kabete Open (Vet Lab Sports Club):
    Winner: Pranay Kapur delivered a stellar performance—completing the tournament with a three‑round total of 217—to secure the title, a winner’s cheque of Sh 115,600, and widespread acclaim for navigating challenging course conditions with finesse
  • *Leg 2 – NCBA Kenya Amateur Matchplay Championship (SigonaGolf Club):
    Winner: Michael Karanga narrowly edged out Pranay Kapur in a sudden‑death playoff, clinching the title on the 37th hole. His victory also earned him KSh 130,000, 300 KAGC points, and a coveted spot in the 2026 Magical Kenya Open
  • Leg 3 – NCBA Kenya Amateur Strokeplay Championship (Vet Lab Sports Club)
    Winner: Jay Sandhu shot a resilient total of 290 to win the Kenya Amateur Stroke Play Championship, earning a spot in the Magical Kenya Open . This win also earned him 130,000 Kenya shillings and 300 KAGC points
