The Magical Kenya Open teed off from 19th to 22nd February at the iconic Karen Country Club, once again bringing world-class golf to Kenyan soil and placing the country firmly in the global sporting spotlight. This year’s championship was particularly significant for Kenyan golf, with local players rising to the occasion and delivering performances that inspired fans and underscored the growing depth of talent within the country.

Leading the local charge was Njoroge Kibugu, who produced a composed and confident performance to finish at -5, successfully making the cut and playing the weekend. The 22-year-old’s achievement marked a proud moment for Kenyan golf, highlighting the progress of homegrown talent competing on an elite international stage.

Kenyan professionals Ed Mudanyi and amateur standout John Lejirma also put in determined performances, narrowly missing the cut by just two shots. Despite the fine margins, their showing reflected the competitiveness and promise of Kenyan players at the highest level. These performances resonated strongly with fans across the country and on social media, reinforcing belief in the future of Kenyan golf.
The tournament concluded with dramatic final-day scenes, electric celebrations, and a deserving champion crowned. Casey Jarvis delivered a brilliant week of golf, finishing on -25 (585) to claim the title in style.
