ENTTEBE, UGANDA | March 7, 2026

Team Kenya delivered an impressive all-round performance to reclaim the Victoria Cup 2026, defeating Uganda 15.5 – 0.5 after three days of thrilling match play at the historic Entebbe Golf Club.
The opening foursome’s session was a strong start for Kenya with Elvis Muigua and Junaid Manji securing a 2 & 0 victory over Joseph Kasozi and Elton Thembo, while John Lejirma and Kevin Anyien recorded another 2 & 0 win against Andrew Ssekibejja and Godfrey Kambale.
Uganda responded with a 4 & 3 victory by Reagan Akena and Peter Mayende over Daniel Kiragu and Isaac Makokha, while the remaining match finished halved. Despite Uganda’s strong response in the final four-ball session; registering three wins, the singles matches ultimately confirmed Kenya’s dominance as the team secured the points required to clinch the trophy.
With the 2026 victory, Kenya adds another title to its strong record in the Victoria Cup, having
previously won the competition in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022, while also retaining the trophy
following the 2024 stalemate.
