Kenya Golf Union awarded the winners in the 2018 Kenya amateur golf championship on 5th February 2019 at Muthaiga  Golf Club.
Top ranked amateur-Samuel Njoroge from Railways Golf Club
Club trophy winner-Vet Lab sports Club
Lowest average gross winner-Edwin Mudanyi from Vetlab sports club.
The Kenya Golf Union Vice Chairman Anthony Murage also announced the amateurs who will be participating in the upcoming Kenya Open to be held at Karen country Club from 14th-17th March 2019:-
1. Samuel Njoroge -2018 Kenya amateur Strokeplay champion
2.Daniel Nduva -2018 Kenya amateur Matchplay champion
3.Edwin Mudanyi-2018 KAGC second runner up
4.Mike Kisia-fourth on the KAGC Ranking
5.Bradley Mogire-Kenya GOlf Union Wild card.
6. The Kenya Golf Union will announce the Junior golf foundation nominee by end of the month.

Request for Proposal – Development of World Handicap System Software

Kenya Unified Handicapping Committee has been mandated to act on behalf of KGU and KLGU in establishing an ICT environment for golf information in Kenya that will incorporate (but not limited to);                                             1. A web portal that will provide information on golf handicaps.                                                  2. Develop the WHS software and database to run handicaps of all golfers in Kenya with the following modules a. Golfers interface b. Golf administration/club interface c. Tournament interface d. KGU/KLGU interface.                     3. A mobile phone application for golfers.         4. Integrate the system with a Golfers card using a magnetic stripe swipe or any other suitable system


KUHC is seeking a partnership approach in the development of the Web Portal whereby the selected service provider in cooperation with the KGU and KLGU staff and respective golf club administrators will manage and run the network for an initial period of 3 years. This will then be renewed on periods that will be agreed upon.

The Kenya Golf Union (KGU) has  released the names of the national golf team that will take part in this year’s Victoria Cup.
In a press release, KGU chairman Lucas Marang’a said that he has confidence in the team constituted to represent Kenya in the tournament.
“We have some of the best players drawn from different clubs in the country. As a union, we are confident of retaining the Victoria Cup winners title for the 3rd time in a row.”
The 10-man team include John Karichu (Limuru Country Club), Mike Kisia (Vet lab) and Edwin Mudanyi (Vet Lab).
Others are Dennis Saikwa (Royal Nairobi), Isaac Makhoha (Vet Lab Sports Club) represented Kenya in the 2018 Deaflympics in inTurkey, Daniel Nduva( Nyali Golf Club) 2018 Kenya Amateur Match play champion, Paul Muchangi( Limuru Country Club) and juniors Agil Is-Haq of Nyali Golf and Country Club Mombasa, Muthaiga’s Mutahi Kibugu, and Zubair Khan (Muthaiga).
The practice round starts on July 25, with the tournament officially teeing off on July 26 (singles), ending on July 28 with the subsidiaries and singles.
